January, February and BABY!!

Ok, so yes it has been forever since I updated but starting now I am going to try and be better at it. So much has happened so I guess I will just start with January. January was kind of a struggle for me. I lost my job unexpectedly which was hard for me not even in the way of money but just the fact that I am pregnant would make it very hard for me to find another job. I just am not the type of person that can sit and do nothing while I watch my husband work for me. It ended up being a huge blessing tho, because while I was working we were making too much money to qualify for medicaid and neither Nate or I were offered insurance. So up until about 2 weeks ago my pregnancy has been completely self pay which we were making work it was just very stressful for me because all I could think about were the "what ifs". But now because I am not working any more we were able to qualify for medicaid. So now not only will we not have to pay for anything from here on out they also went back and paid for any existing bills we had. It is such a releif knowing now that if there are any complications either with our baby or me it will be completely covered. Also it has been so amazing to see Nathan do everything he can to provide for his family. He works an average of 90 hours a week and has 9 credit hours of school on top of that. I never once hear him complain and he does more than enough to provide for us and whenever I talk about finding a job he shoots it down so that I can be home to take care of myself and in a few months our little baby. I love Nate with all of my heart and I am a very very lucky girl to have such an amazing good person as my eternal companion.

So besides the drama a lot of good happened in January too including us finding out the sex of our baby :)
So yes as you can see we are going to be having a little boy!!!! We are super excited especially because we already have a nephew that will be turning 1 and my brother is also having a boy in April so my family will have 3 little boys all very close in age. You can probably imagine how extremely excited my parents are:) We also have decided on a name. We weren't positive at first but we keep calling him by it so I guess it has stuck. We are going to name him Jace Nixon Drysdale. We aren't 100 percent on the middle name but we are positive on Jace (for now anyway). In other baby news the begining of February we went and had our big 20 week ultra sound. We confirmed that Jace is for sure a boy and they also measured things and counted fingers and toes and things like that. Everything looked perfect and I am so so happy and excited. I am now almost 24 weeks and the dr.said that my uterus has stretched as far up as it will go so now my belly is just gonna keep growing out! It seems impossible because I already feel huge but I know I still have a long way to go. Nathan also recently found out that Jace can now hear and react to sounds so it is good for the father to talk to the baby. So you can imagine, every night before we go to bed Nate hugs my belly and tells Jace how much he loves him he does the same thing every morning when he leaves for work after he gives me a kiss goodbye. Its the cutest thing ever!

This is the baby bump at 17 weeks I swear I have doubled in size since then. I will put more pics soon.

This is my favorite because it looks like Jace is sucking his thumb.

Also besides the baby excitement that has been happpening we celebrated Valentines Day:) and again I am so lucky, my husband is so good at things like this. He never disappoints. Nate had to work all day then he had school til about 8:30 so I didn't have many expectations for it but when I woke up and walked to the hallway I noticed a path of roses going all the way through my house up the stairs and to the front room where he had wrote me a note asking me to be his valentine and telling me to be ready to go out when he got home :)

and to the cute note from my valentine :)

Because it was so late we didn't do much. Nate brought me home dinner and we went and saw Just Go With It. But, my real surprise came later that weekend when we dropped our boys off at my parents for the night and Nate took me to dinner in Salt Lake and we spent the night at the Anniversary Inn :) it was so good to have a night just us without Nate being on call for work and our little puppes getting baby sat :)

Another thing we have been enjoying the last few months is celebrating birthdays with our families. It started by going to the Roof with my family for my mom and sister in laws birthdays. We also went to Joes Crab Shack for my sisters birthday, Roosters for my dads and yesterday I went to lunch with my mother in law and sister in law at el matador which was so so much fun to have a girls day with them :)

Driving in the escalade on our way to Joes Crab Shack :) we always get shoved in the back lol

My very very sexy hubby :)

This past winter every Thursday night my parents rent out an indoor arena for an hour so we have a warm place to go horseback riding. Nathan hasn't been able to go until just recently because of school so I would just go by myself but he no longer has school on Thursdays any more so even he has been caught riding a horse or two :) I know hard to beleive but I have proof :) He looks scared out of his mind but he still does it :) Because I am pregnant I haven't been able to ride which is a bummer but its still so fun to spend time with my family and watch baby Braxton. We always go out to dinner after too which is the best part lol

Nathan on Bert :)

Nate and Bert again

Nate on lady. This is where he was scared because she is alot younger and jumpier than Bert haha

This is Braxtons mini horse Al, soon he will have to share with two little cousins tho. Who honestly already has a pony before they are even born? Jace is gonna be so spoiled!
