Kickin off the summer and Jaces first Birthday!!

We have been super busy around our house lately! Luckily Nate took the summer off of school so I have had a lot of help! Between Mothers day, enjoying the gorgeous weather and birthdays it seems like we have just been going and going. Its nice tho I like it that way.

This past weekend we had a birthday party and Mothers day. I had a lot of fun at both. We got to take Jace swimming at Aunt Nitas on Saturday for Makennas birthday. It was alot of fun. Jace really did NOT like the water at first so we let him take a brake, get some food and we tried again. The second time he absolutely LOVED it he sat in a tube on his belly and kicked his little leggies like a froggy. It was so stinking cute. I serioulsy haven't had that much fun swimming in FOREVER!

Litto Dino Man

Momma and baby swimming :)

Cutest little swim baby in the WHOLE world!

I had a great first Mothers day! Like everything, Nate was too excited for me to open my present so he gave it to me on midnight on Mothers day before we went to bed. He got me a new purse which I was in need of BADLY!

We had a busy mothers day we went to the Drysdales and had lunch and spent time with Carin while we talked to Nick on the phone (for the last time). He will be home in August and I can't believe how fast it has gone! We can't wait to have him home with us agian. After the Drysdales we went to my brothers for a BBQ for my mom. The weather was beautiful and it was a very gorgeous day.

Unfortunately this is the only picture I got on Mothers Day but its a good one :)

Yesterday my baby boy turned 1! ahhhh I can't believe it! I CANNOT be old enough to have a one year old. As sad as I am that my baby is now turning into a little boy, I absolutely love seeing him grow and learn. He is at such a fun age. I cannot even explain the joy of being a mother. It is truly the best thing in the world!

One year ago my little man was such a helpless little preemie. We are truly blessed to be where we are today. I remember people kept telling us while he was in the NICU that this time next year it would be like he was never there....well they were so right. That was just a blink in all that we have got to experience with our little man.

Our sweet boy 1 year later. Maybe a bit too healthy hehe

I still remember the night I had Jace like it was yesterday. As scared and anxious as I was to get my baby here I rememer feeling such a serene calm. All of our closest family was there supporting us, even tho my room was FREEZING and it was literally the middle of the night. The best thing tho was getting to experience such an amazing thing with Nate. I will never ever forget the feelings and the emotions. I loved the whole process of giving birth, as weird as that may seem.

We threw a little party for Jace yesterday. I stressed and planned for it forever! But it turned out better than I could have hoped. Thanks everyone for the help and support. It meant so much to us that you took time out of your busy schedules to celebrate such a special day for us.

The little treats I made. They turned out better than I could have hoped. This is about as crafty as you will EVER see me get!

Jace and all of his presents. He is def. Loved!

Mommy and Daddy had to help him out a little bit!

Jaces very FIRST birhtday cake!

Waiting to dig in

Jace absolutely LOVED eating his cake...as you can tell. The red food coloring dyed us both red and he was such a mess but it was so so worth it.

The HUGE sheet cake. Thanks Grandma Drysdale for getting it for us.

My cake monster :)

My little family on our first sons first birthday!

This post is full of my very most favorite things and memories! I am so grateful for the people I can truly count on and for all that I have and get to experience!

Hope you all are enjoying the weather! Happy week everyone.
