Christmas Time!

This Christmas was so so special this year mostly because after 4 years its the first one Nathan and I have been married and because it was the first Christmas my family has had any babies. We spent Christmas Eve with Nathans family first we opened the presents we got for eachother we draw names so it was fun. It was also fun because Felisha (nicks girlfriend) spent the night with us. Carin ( nates mom) made her famous chicken noodle soup which was so yummy as always. After that we went to my Grandpa Hokansons house it was so good to see every one. We don't get together much now that everyone is starting to grow up so it was good to catch up with every one. We also played the White Elephant gift game I got and orange and candy and Nathan got a Bratz DVD. We also got alot of yummy food there its hard for me tho because I can't eat as much as I used to since I got pregnant there just isn't room. Oh I forgot the best part of Christmas Eve, my cute husband being so excited made me get up early and open a present from him. He got me a heated blanket and oh my goodness that thing is my favorite I love love love it. So does Hamilton our little Chug. On Christmas morning we both woke up around 7 because we were so excited! We took turns opening gifts and our puppies were busy chewing on the bones they got. Nathan got me perfume, clothes, scentsy bars, and a diamond necklace :) but my biggest present was a new 2009 Mitsibushi Lancer. Its my mommy car :) Nathans big presents from me were a really nice watch and a really nice snowboarding jacket. We had so much fun and Nathan made pasta for breakfast lol I know weird but you just have to know us to know it makes perfect sense. After getting ready we rushed down to the Drysdales because Nick got to call from Tennesee :) it was so good to hear from him! We also opened presents from them. They got us a whole bunch of gift cards so we could go to movies and dinner for free which will be way nice they also gave us a down comforter which is like sleeping on heaven and the cutest rocking horse for the baby :) After hanging out and spending time with everybody we went to my parents. We had a huge amazing Christmas dinner thanks to my mommy and daddy and then we opened presents where we completely spoiled with a laptop and wireless internet for a year! It was also so fun to see my little nephew open all his toys and get so excited! Next year there will be 3 little babies it will be so fun. As we let that night instead of being so thankful for all the gifts we got I just couldn't stop thinking about how lucky we are that we all live so close to eachother and that it is so easy for all of us to get together and spend time together. I am truly the happiest when I am with my family. I hope it will stay the same for a really long time. Christmas was amazing but I hate to admit that I am kinda glad it is over and I can relax, which I will be doing lots of because I work at a school I get the rest of this week off. We hope everyone else enjoyed the holidays as much as us.

Baby!!!

We went to the doctor again this month! We actually got to go twice because Nathan and I decided to do this study for first time moms and we get 3 free ultra sounds which totally makes it worth it. We went to my regular doctor first and we got to here the heart beat for the first time! That was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced it is so surreal knowing and getting real proof that there really is a human growing in my belly! Both Nate and I got teary eyed. The heart beat was good and strong we only got to hear it for a few seconds because my baby is very active and it kept swimming away. The second time we went to the Dr. we got a more detailed ultra sound, and wow that was also so very amazing! It lasted about 20 minutes so we got to just watch our little baby do its thing. It moved and flipped but the most amazing part was watching the little baby bring its hands up and rub and touch its face and move his little fingers and toes. She kept trying to get a picture a picture of his little fingers but he kept moving to fast. She did get a picture of the little foot tho and he has 5 little toes. We also got to see its little face and to me the second I saw its profile I immediatly thought that it looked like Nate! It really is so amazing and I realized I need to take more time to realize and notice all the little miracles I have in my life. I was once told not even a year ago that there was a good chance I would never be able to have kids of my own. Well here we are now I am even out of my 2nd trimester. I know Nathan and I are young but I also know we are meant to have this baby now and we are so excited! Besides getting to got to the Dr. I have also been experiencing some physical effects. I am now past the morning sickness (thank goodness) but now I notice everyday my belly getting a little bigger and my pants getting a little tighter. Nathan is so cute, he is already talking to my belly and he is so excited! I am so grateful because I know he will be the best dad and I will never have to do this alone. We are a forever family and I am so happy for that.

Ok so this is the profile picture of baby its sideways but you can still see it pretty good.

Tile

I forgot one of the biggest things we did this month, well I didn't really do it but Nate did. He tiled our whole bathroom floor all by himself! Oh and with the help of Clemmer one of his mission companions that we have become close to. They got creative and did it all with out a wet tile saw just a little 17 dollar saw. I was very proud of him I have to admit I was a little worried at first.

November

So during the huge blizzard we had this past week Nate and I ran a whole bunch of errands which included getting all of our Christmas stuff. We got our first tree and stockings. It is kind of a Charlie Brown tree but it looks perfect in our cute little house. We spent that night listening to christmas music and decorating while it snowed tonz and tonz. We are so excited to spend our first Christmas together! This past week was also Thanksgiving and I definately have so much to be grateful for. We got to spend the day with both of our families. We first went to Nate's uncles work place where he has a big conference room where we got stuffed the first time. We also made and wrote Nick on little ornaments that Nate's mom is going to make for his tree. We then went to my parents where we first took a nap then made a green bean casserole. We stuffed ourselves again and watched football :) It was the perfect Thanksgiving Nate and I both have such amazing families it is so good we live close and get to spend lots of time with each of them. Yesterday (Black Friday) Nate had the day off (thank goodness) so we slept in then braved the crowds and spent the day together shopping and going to eat. I was so exhausted by the end of the day being pregnant if I don't get a nap during the day I don't make it past 6. My husband has taken such good care of me though, leaving at least 2 times this week that I can remember to quench my crazy food cravings. Two being during the blizzard, he left Tuesday night to get stuff for minestrone soup then that morning he got up early and ran to Mcdondalds to get me a fruit and yogurt parfait and just last night I saw hot dogs on the food network and I just had to have one so even though we were both dead from our long day he went to Maverick and got me a Bahama Mama. I am so so grateful for him so glad I have his support otherwise there is no way I would make it through this whole being pregnant thing.

Everybody decided to sleep on me during the Holy War :)

Baby update

We went to the Dr. twice this month. The baby is growing and is exactly where is should be. One of the appoinments was our first ultrasound. It was so amazing to finally see the little bean in my belly that has been making me sick. It is to early to hear the heart beat but we could see it very cleary in the ultrasound like a little flashing light. We were really suprised how well you could see the baby the Dr. told us normally you can't see much so we must have a very photogenic baby. We found out that I will be exactly 10 weeks on Monday my due date is on June 27th and we get to find out the sex on Febuary 9th which seems like forever away but its still so exciting! We also recently found out that Nate's aunt is also pregnant and she is due June 28th so that will be so fun!

Its a picture of a picture so its not the best but still its pretty cool!

Halloween

So since I have been so not feeling good and we have been so busy we didn't do much celebrating for Halloween. We bought 3 pumpkins one for Nate, me and baby but we just didn't have the drive to carve them lol. We did go to a rodeo with my family which was a complete blast. It was good to spend time with my sister-in-law Michelle because she is actually 4 months pregnant so she knows exactly how I feel.
Our three cute un-carved pumpkins lol

Baby Drysdale

So its true! Most have you have probably heard by now that Nathan and I are gonna have a baby! I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and the morning sickness is already killing me. But my cute husband takes such good care of me! Every time i feel like something I can finally eat he runs out and gets it for me no matter how late or crazy it seems he also helps by doing all the house work so I can just sleep and rest! Its amazing how tired and exhausted you feel all the time :( He also picked up more hours so I don't have to work as much. Prince Charming? I think YES!! We have been busy figuring out Doctors and finances but i think we have finally got it and we can just be so excited now (which we are). We found out yesterday that our baby has a  brain and its heart is beating its so surreal for me knowing its in my tummy. We will definately keep everyone updated!
