Fall Fun!

WOW! It has been waaaay to long since I updated this, and I usally do so good. I am gonna get back into it (hopefully) as long as I can find a free second.

 

Sooo much has happened since my last post, and I have totally been a slacker mom and have been horrible at taking pictures. So first I will bring you up to speed on life and then we will have a little picture overload.

 

So first a few weeks after my last post I found out I was wait for it... PREGNANT with baby number two :) It was so not in the plan, my plan was to wait till Jace was four or so but ya know I guess you can't always control these things;) I can't lie it has been kinda bittersweet, I was soooo not ready to deal with pregnancy again (its way to fresh on my mind) and I am totally freaking out about having two babies ahhhh but then again how can you not look at another little spirit entering your home as a blessing? Especially when so many people struggle so much with fertility and such issues. We found out a couple weeks ago we are having another little BOY! I knew it, I am begining to think we got the Drysdale curse ;) We were planning on this being our last but since its another boy we now know there is still another little spirit up in heaven waiting for us :)This pregnancy has been rough, I haven't been sick but because Jace is not walking yet and I am so little my back has just given way :( also because Jace was 7 weeks early they are taking extra precautions which I am grateful for but it sucks cuz once a week I get the joy of going in and getting a steroid shot :( its like oil being shot in my back:( no fun. One last note on pregnancy my sister just found out she is also expecting :D So many little cousins around the same age! I love it!

 

Another big change is my mom got a new job....in Holbrook, Arizona :( as happy as I am for her because her school is paying off, its a huge promotion, and a BIG pay raise its probably the hardest thing I have had to deal with:( My family has been through waaay too much change this year. I am about to go crazy. I can't stand the thought of wanting my mom so so bad but there is nothing I can do about it :( she is my rock, my everything, I need her. Its a big change, its ony been a week so hopefullly things will be better than I am expecting. I just gotta take it one day at a time. I just want happines and success for her :) Most people don't know how close Nate and I are to my mom she is like our best friend :) Hopefully we will make it!

 

Nathan and I are both in school. It makes it hard cuz it feels like we just run in circles around eachother and we have no time to just be us. Hopefully one day all the craziness will pay off and we will both be successful and able to comfortably support our family. I am so grateful to have such a hard working husband that is willing to better himself when he could easily settle for what we have now. Our biggest joy is watching our sweet baby Jace grow and learn and experience new things. And our favorite thing to do is go to the store get tonz of treats and watch all of our shows we DVR on TV :)

The past few weeks...BEST time of the year!

Last week we were lucky enough to spend a whole week with my mom, and brother and sister and their families up in Bear Lake for a whole week.

We usualy only go up for a weekend or so but we decided to go all out this year and I think it was much needed for all of us.

We are blessed to own a cabin up in Bear Lake West so lodging is free and we usally just bring our own food up so really it is a very inexpensive little vacation.

We spent a few days playing in the sand and relaxing on the beach. oh man it was so so nice. One day we made the adventure up to Jackson Hole. That was fun cuz it has been forever since I have been up there. It is such a gorgeous little town. The drive is also beautiful. We ate at Bubbas BBQ (its a tradition) and we spent the day shopping :) We were lucky enough to have a couple of days of just nothing where we just napped, played games, read, relaxed and ate junk food all day. One day we went over to the clubhouse pool. It was one of my favorite pool days ever :) I had such a good relaxing time. It was the perfect no stress relaxing vacation. Also I am lucky enough to spend my birthday up there every year :}

We made so many memories that will last a life time and I can't wait to head up there again!

So if any of  you know me very well, you know that I have serious knee issues. I am supposed to have a ligament replacement surgery but I just keep putting it off. I really think its time. But no time is a good time. So we went on a walk one night and we took all four dogs and both babies. I had both of my dogs on a leash and for some reason they just wanted to run home. ugh. So as we were going down a loose gravel hill my knee went out of the socket and my right foot slipped on the gravel dragging my left foot behid it. It was a steep hill so I slid pretty far. It hurt so bad and swelled for a couple days and now it looks like a  disgusting wound :( but my hubby was a good dr. and took good care of me. :)

Fourth of July!

we had a BIG day on the fouth this year! Since this was the first Fourth that Jace would understand and be alert lol I wanted to do as much as possible!

It all started at 6 A.M. when we got up to get ready for the West Point Days Parade. Jace slept the whole time we got ready so we had to go in his room and wake the poor little sleepy head up. He was so confused at first cuz he usually sleeps till 10. Once he saw that we were ready to go have some adventures he got super excited!

After the parade we headed over to the park cuz we had entered Jace in the baby contest. It was quite the little adventure. It was so fun going up on the stage and showing off my sweet baby boy. He loved the attention and he danced and giggled the whole time (mostly because his grandmas were right up front smiling, dancing and pulling faces. haha priceless)

After the baby contest we were all hot and hungry so we left to get some food. Every where was packed so we ended up at Dennys. Its always such an adventure with Braxton and Jace lol. They fight and play and laugh and tease oh man those two are a handful but so entertaining.

After food we went back to the park to enjoy some of the vendors set up at the park. Spencer played on the 3 on 3 basketball and Braxton played on the toys at the park for hours. Jace had been up since 7 without a nap so my sweet little boy crashed in my arms. BEST feeling in this whole entire world!

This right here makes every hard, sad, discouraging day worth every second to look down and see my sweet baby sleeping in my arms is the absolute best thing ever!

After Jace napped for awhile we left the park again we had to go let our dogs out and we relaxed in the air conditioned house for awhile SO NICE! We decided to get dinner before we went back to the park to settle in for the fireworks. We went to Olive Garden YUM it suprisingly was not crowded AT ALL everyone must have been bbqing.

Once we got back to the park we hung out and enjoyed time with family. Jace was a little nervous about the fireworks I think mostly because we had a front row seat. It was cute tho he never cried he just wanted his mommy! I LOVE that!

Poor little man was so exhausted he passed out on the walk back to the car ofter the fireworks. He slept through all the fireworks and traffic going on around him!

All in all we had a good fourth of July my family is all that matters and getting to spend time with them is priceless!
